ACRL works to make sure everyone’s experience will be a pleasant and accessible one. Below are the features in place to ensure that ACRL 2017 is accessible to all. Please make all accessibility requests to Tory Ondrla, ACRL Conference Supervisor before January 27, 2017.
We have accessible sleeping rooms in our hotel block. There are rooms for the deaf, blind, and attendees in wheelchairs. Please fill out the registration and housing form and check the appropriate box. A representative will contact you to make sure you are placed in an appropriate room.
We are happy to make accessible transportation arrangements from hotel to Baltimore Convention Center and All-Conference reception upon request.
ACRL offers complimentary scooters upon request and onsite on a first-come, first-served basis for attendees that require mobility assistance during regular session hours. Scooter pick up and drop off will be located in the Baltimore Convention Center in the ACRL Office.
American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreters
The ACRL 2017 team coordinates interpreting services for people who are deaf or hard of hearing. To use the service, Interpreter requests should be made prior to conference attendance by contacting Tory Ondrla, ACRL Conference Supervisor before January 27, 2017.
ACRL has two personal audio amplification devices (worn like standard headphones) available by request in advance or in the ACRL Office onsite.
Leader animals of all kinds are welcome throughout the ACRL Conference.
ACRL offers accessible restrooms, gender-neutral restrooms and a quiet lounge for nursing mothers.
