Support the future of Academic Librarianship!

We invite you to invest in the future leaders of the profession as they seek to gain the experience, knowledge, and connections needed to advance learning and transform scholarship in the 21st century.

ACRL is able to award scholarships to academic and research librarians and library staff to attend the ACRL Conference thanks to donors like you. ACRL is strongly dedicated to equity, diversity, and inclusion. The Scholarships Committee gives preference to applicants who are from diverse cultural/ethnic backgrounds, serve under-represented groups, and have not previously been awarded an ACRL scholarship.

“ACRL 2017 was a transformative experience for me and I am so grateful for the opportunity to have come. I learned a lot at the workshops and other sessions and I particularly enjoyed volunteering in the placement center. Without the ACRL scholarship it would have been quite difficult for me to attend. I will be certain to support ACRL 2019—look out for me (!)—and the ACRL scholarship fund when I’m working.”

Willa C. Liburd Tavernier, ACRL 2017 Conference Scholarship Recipient

Student, University of Iowa

“Attending ACRL 2017 gave me the invaluable opportunity to connect with colleagues from all over the country, participate in significant conversations in the field, and re-evaluate my current practices after hearing from my brilliant colleagues. I’m grateful to ACRL and the donors for this opportunity, as my small community college library doesn’t have the resources to finance such trips.”

Timothy Dolan, ACRL 2017 Conference Scholarship Recipient

Librarian, Greenfield Community College
